The Miramonte Varsity Women's Volleyball team came full circle in the first round of the NCS playoffs on Tuesday, October 28, defeating Benicia in four sets — the same team that swept them in the very first match of the season.

This win wasn't just a victory — it was redemption. Months of hard work, teamwork, and determination under Coach Leslie Ray turned pre-season disappointment into post-season dominance. The Lady Mats showed grit, focus, and confidence from the first serve to the final point, proving just how much they've grown as a team. 

"I came across a group of girls who have the same goal in mind. They want to work. They're working hard to be better. They made it happen tonight. I'm one proud coach," said Leslie Ray.  

The Lady Mats also dominated the league season, finishing with a perfect 10-0 record.
