Winter sports may be here, but Fall sports aren't going away quite yet. Miramonte Football, Water Polo (Men's and Women's), and Women's Tennis are in the midst of postseason play with no signs of slowing down. The entire Mats community looks forward to cheering them on as they go for glory at both the section and state level! See below for updates on your favorite Matador squads...

Football
Mats Football earned a convincing victory (35-21) over Alameda High School in the quarterfinals of the NCS Division IV Playoffs. Overcoming injuries at key positions, they will advance to the semifinals this Friday (11/21) at 7:00 PM AT HOME versus 7-seeded Redwood High School.

Women's Water Polo
After two tough losses in the NCS Open Division Playoffs, the Lady Mats still competed well enough to earn the 7-seed in the NorCal Division I Playoffs. They are set to take on 2-seeded Sacred Heart Prep, the #2 team in the country, in the quarterfinals on Tuesday (11/18) at 5:00 PM. Women's Water Polo is focused on pulling off the upset against a familiar foe and asserting themselves as a team to be reckoned with during postseason play.

Women's Tennis
Women's Tennis won in thrilling fashion over American High School to advance to the NCS Open Division Finals. Despite falling short in the finals versus University High and claiming a second place finish, the Lady Mats remain poised to compete at a high level in both the NCS Singles/Doubles Tournament at San Ramon Valley and the Northern California Championships in Folsom. Women's Tennis will bring an elite group of 11 players to compete in the NorCal Playoffs in the hopes of making a Cinderalla run to State.

Men's Water Polo
Mats Polo dominated rival Campolindo for the third time this season, winning 15-7 to claim the NCS Open Division crown. The Matadors enter the CIF NorCal Division I Playoffs as the 2-seed and hope to continue their dominance in a matchup versus Rio Americano High School tomorrow (11/18) at 6:30 PM at Acalanes. They hope Mats supporters will pack the house and cheer them on as they make their run towards another ring!
