Unified Basketball Ignites the Crowd in Home Opener

The Matadome was filled to the brink last Friday as students flocked in to watch Unified Basketball in their home opener versus the Benicia Panthers.

In a playoff-like atmosphere, the Mats didn't disappoint, earning a 30-25 victory thanks to outstanding team defense and a barrage of three-pointers in the opening quarter. Senior Anthony Morosini led all scorers with 18 points, as Simon Keenan, Andrew Beagle, Zane Elliott, and Owen LeBold made key plays in crucial moments of the game.

Led by Unified Director Dallas Nicolosi and Head Coaches Ace Wright and Doug Senz, the Matadors hope to continue their dominance in the Ultimate Fieldhouse Jamboree this Wednesday (3/4)!

The Miramonte community praises these student-athletes and the Unified Partners for their hard work, dedication, and inspired play. We look forward to watching them compete all season long in the name of fun, competition, and inclusion!
