Soccer legend and sports icon Brandi Chastain took the time to speak with Miramonte's Council of Female Athletes (COFA) yesterday afternoon.

Best known for scoring the game-sealing penalty kick for the US Women's National Team in the 1999 World Cup, Chastain is also an impactful advocate for the growth of women's sports around the globe. She is co-founder of the NWSL's Bay FC and an inductee of both the National Soccer Hall of Fame and the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame.

In her discussion with COFA, Chastain shared invaluable insights about her experience overcoming injuries and dealing with stress and anxiety as an athlete. Chastain's candor, enthusiasm, and passion made this a once in a lifetime experience for our COFA members.

Thank you to Brandi Chastain for conversing with our student-athletes and giving the Miramonte community an opportunity to hear from one of the most influential pioneers in all of women's sports!
