Miramonte Boosters Club is proud to announce a comprehensive renovation of Miramonte's on-campus weight room, a $175,000 investment in student health, athletic performance, and physical education. The multi-phase project is scheduled to begin on June 1, 2026, with completion targeted ahead of the 2026–27 school year.

The renovation is made possible through the vision, initiative, and sustained commitment of the Miramonte Boosters Club. Boosters brought the project to life through grassroots efforts that  garnered generous community support, including a significant $125,000 contribution from an anonymous donor.

"This renovation is an exciting step forward for our athletic programs and the broader student body," said Athletic Director Sean Hennessy. "It gives our students access to a higher-quality training environment that will support their development both in and out of the classroom."

The renovation will take place in three phases throughout the summer:

  • Phase 1: Interior repainting

  • Phase 2: Installation of new flooring

  • Phase 3: Delivery and installation of new fitness equipment

Painting will be completed by an AUHSD contractor, with flooring and equipment supplied and installed by Game One.

While construction is underway, temporary fitness areas will be established in the school's softball batting cages, allowing fall sports teams to continue their strength and conditioning programs using existing equipment.

"The Boosters Club continues to play a vital role moving projects like this forward," said Principal Ben Campopiano. "Their leadership and the generosity of an anonymous donor allows us to provide students with facilities that match the level of effort they bring every day, and this upgrade is a meaningful step in supporting both their academic and athletic pursuits."

The modernized weight room is designed to improve safety, accessibility, and performance outcomes for all Miramonte students, including those enrolled in physical education courses and participants across the school's 30 athletic programs.

"This project is the result of a shared vision to elevate opportunities for every student at Miramonte," said Boosters President Lee O'Haver.  "We're proud to help lead an effort that strengthens our programs and creates lasting value for our students and school community."

Miramonte extends their gratitude to the Boosters Club and looks forward to the many benefits this upgraded facility will bring in the years ahead.
