Aria Jahangiri

Aria Jahangiri brings to Miramonte a coaching resume built on success at both the high school and club levels, along with a strong foundation in leadership and athlete development.

Jahangiri began his coaching career immediately after graduating in 2021, working with both girls and boys JV programs before progressing to coaching girls JV and boys varsity. He started at College Park High School and later transitioned to Miramonte High School, where he has continued to build disciplined, competitive teams and a strong program culture.

In 2022, Jahangiri expanded into club volleyball with Bay Area Volleyball Club (BAVC), where he has coached across multiple levels, including 15.2, 16.2, 16.3, 18.3, and 18.4, while also contributing as an assistant coach for 18.2. His experience across age groups highlights his ability to adapt, teach, and elevate athletes at every stage of development.

One of his most notable accomplishments came when he led the BAVC 15.2 team to win the 16s division at the NorCal Invitational, demonstrating his ability to push younger teams to compete and succeed above their level.

Outside of coaching, Jahangiri works as an operations and supply chain professional while also pursuing his education as an IBL student. He applies the same principles of efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement from his professional and academic work into his coaching environment.

Jahangiri believes in an intense, disciplined approach to volleyball, built on daily accountability and a commitment to continuous improvement. As he puts it, “This sport needs young minds and growth-based coaching.” His philosophy centers on becoming 1% better every day and developing athletes who are not only skilled, but consistent, resilient, and competitive.
