Miramonte High School

Already an esteemed math teacher on Miramonte's campus since 1998, Henderson's hiring marks his return to the program that he has coached two times previously from 1998-2010 and 2014-2020. 

A former sprinter at Cal State Hayward (now Cal State East Bay), Henderson began his teaching and coaching career at his alma mater, Moreau Catholic, where he served as a cross country and track coach for seven years before taking his talents to Miramonte. Following two successful stints with the Mats, Henderson has spent the last four seasons coaching at California High School in San Ramon, where both of his children ran track. 

Henderson's Miramonte coaching resume includes several NCS titles and numerous state qualifications from both individuals and teams. Most notably, his women's teams claimed two podium finishes at the CIF State Meet, including a state title in 2003 and a 3rd place finish in 2005.
