Nick Safir

Safir brings to Miramonte an impressive background as a football coach and social studies teacher.

Safir holds a Master's in Secondary Education and earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Linfield College, where he was a standout athlete on the football field. Following his collegiate playing career, Safir transitioned into coaching and teaching. He is currently a middle school social studies teacher at Bret Harte Middle School in Hayward.

Throughout his coaching tenure, Safir has demonstrated a commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes who excel not only on the field but also in the classroom and in their communities. His coaching philosophy emphasizes discipline, teamwork, and a relentless pursuit of excellence, values that align closely with Miramonte High School's vision.

Safir previously served as a defensive coordinator at three stops in the last decade: Piedmont High School, Encinal High School, and most recently, Moreau Catholic High School. He was also the special teams coordinator at Encinal and Moreau Catholic. His teams have accumulated an 84-45 record that includes 11 playoff victories, 4 semi-final appearances, and an NCS Championship appearance.
