Miramonte High School

Steve Hammond brings a wealth of experience from his 11-year professional career and 10+ years of athlete development and coaching. A graduate of Alhambra High School, he competed at the collegiate level for Sacramento City College and national powerhouse Long Beach State prior to being drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers. Hammond played nearly a dozen years for various organizations, including the San Francisco Giants and overseas teams around the globe.

In his post-playing career, Hammond founded Bay Area Ballplayers, a prominent athletic training facility in Moraga. He has also coached at Diablo Valley College (Pitching Coach) and the University of San Francisco (Director of Player Development). Hammond lives with his family in Orinda.
