Women's Soccer defeats Campolindo High School behind two goals from Madyson Yu

The Lady Mats soccer team faced crosstown rival Campolindo High School in their only matchup of the season. Even with the pouring rain, the Lady Mats persevered and came out on top with a score of 3-0, beating the Cougars for the first time since 2019. Attacking midfield Madyson Yu '25 scored two goals to pull the Mats ahead and center forward Chayse Yu '24 showed strong play as well as the sisters had phenomenal moments throughout the game. Centerback Camilla White '26 had a huge part in the victory, helping to solidify the last line of defense. White and her older sister, right wing Katrina White '25, had multiple connections up field, keeping the Mats on the Cougars side for most of the game. Holding midfield, freshman Eve Copeland '28, helped finish off the game by scoring the last goal, which was the final blow to help the Matadors snap the cougar's Winning streak.
