Elite Goal-Scoring Propels Unified Soccer to Another Great Showing Versus Acalanes

Despite a close 19-18 defeat, Miramonte Unified Soccer demonstrated outstanding offensive prowess and team chemistry in their rivalry matchup versus Acalanes yesterday.

Unified Sports Director Dallas Nicolosi attributed the Mats' success to an inspiring team effort in which every player contributed. Goalkeeper Naomi Trifiletti solidified the defense while Simon Keenan and Andrew Beagle facilitated to their teammates and created scoring opportunities. Drew Hegarty, Zane Elliott, and Owen LeBold played huge minutes and made critical plays all afternoon long. Anthony Morosini, the lone senior on the squad, had another dominant performance, leading the Mats in goals for the second straight week. And per usual, the Unified Partners assisted and encouraged their teammates every step of the way.

Amidst the competition, smiles, and post-game pizza, Abby Speron and Anika Vasisht shared some kind words about senior Anthony Morosini during the Senior Recognition ceremony, presenting him with a certificate and celebrating his achievements on and off the field.

With one week to prepare, Unified Soccer now looks ahead to a new challenge: the Heritage High School Patriots on Wednesday, October 22. Go Mats!
