Miramonte congratulates Senior Charlie Metherd for being named the 49ers Foundation Prep Player of the Week.

Charlie's recognition comes as a result of his gutsy and inspiring performance in the Homecoming Football Game last week versus Las Lomas. Dressed in street clothes and scheduled for surgery on his broken wrist, Charlie suited up and stepped in at quarterback for an injured Carson Blair to lead the Mats to a thrilling 25-22 victory. Charlie finished with 79 yards on 5-7 passing, including the go-ahead touchdown pass to James Rogers.

Charlie's display of toughness and leadership cemented his place in Miramonte history and made him more than deserving of this award. Miramonte High School and the entire Mats community celebrates Charlie's efforts and looks forward to the team's final regular season game this Friday at Campolindo!
