Men's and Women's Water Polo Make Playoff Push in NCS Open Division

Continuing its storied tradition of excellence, Mats Water Polo hopes to realize their postseason aspirations as they approach the NCS Open Division playoffs on both the men's and women's side.

Men's Water Polo
Coming off a dominate regular season that included elite performances at multiple national tournaments, Men's Water Polo cruised to a DAL Tournament Championship over rival Campolindo. Ranked #4 in the country, the Mats earned the #1 seed in the NCS Open Division playoffs. This Saturday (11/8), they will take on #4 seed San Ramon Valley for a chance to compete in the finals on November 15.

Women's Water Polo
Despite fielding a young squad with nine underclassmen, the Lady Mats still managed to compete at an elite level all regular season. Women's Water Polo suffered a tough loss to Campolindo in the DAL Tournament final, but still earned the #4 seed in the NCS Open Division playoffs. They are set to take on #1 seed Carondelet on Saturday (11/8) in a rematch of their November contest. Ranked #6 in the nation, the Lady Mats are peaking at the right time and hope to battle their way to yet another NCS Final appearance come Saturday, November 15.
