Miramonte High School Women's Basketball Coach Vince Wirthman announces decision to step down

Miramonte High School Women's Basketball Coach, Vince Wirthman, has stepped down as head varsity coach after five successful seasons. Since joining Miramonte in the 2020-21 season, Wirthman led the Matadors to an impressive 87-43 overall record and a 41-14 mark in Diablo Athletic League play. The Miramonte administration and athletic department extend their gratitude to Coach Wirthman and his staff for their dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to the program.
"I want to thank Vince for his hard work and the impact he has had on our student-athletes," said Athletic Director Sean Hennessy. "His dedication has not gone unnoticed, and we appreciate his willingness to assist with the transition to new leadership."
"We are so grateful for Vince's service to our school and student-athletes over the last decade," said Principal Ben Campopiano. "His commitment to to our basketball community has greatly helped our players develop on and off the court, and laid a great foundation for the future of the program."
