The NCS Finals are set as the Mats try to reclaim their spot as one of the Bay Area's premier programs.

This Tuesday, Miramonte faced their first true test of the playoffs against St. Bernard's Academy. Coming off an hours-long drive north to Eureka, the Mats were pushed to the brink against the #1 seed in the NCS Division III bracket. Despite several starters dealing with foul trouble down the stretch, the Mats maintained their lead and delivered some key baskets in crunch time to hold on for a 58-54 victory.

Looking ahead to Friday, they will face-off with the #2 seed Benicia Panthers, a familiar league foe that they defeated in mid-January. The game will mark Miramonte's first NCS Finals appearance since 2019. If they are victorious, it will be the program's first NCS crown since 2017, just one year removed from the graduation of Sabrina Ionescu.

Led by first-year Head Coach Ace Wright and the senior leadership of captain/point guard Maegan Eichenberger, the Mats look forward to overcoming the odds and building a championship legacy that will be remembered for years to come.
