Mats Wrestling Dominates SRV Invitational; Jaxon Ziehn Claims 1st Place

Miramonte Wrestling came home with some hardware this weekend after traveling to Danville to compete in the San Ramon Valley Invitational. Despite the tournament being one of the largest in the Bay Area, the Mats still managed to perform at a high level in both the men's and women's groups.

Cayleigh Farrar earned 5th place in her division while Owen Beidelman claimed 6th place. Most notably, Jaxon Ziehn upset the #1 ranked wrestler in the tournament on his way to a championship title!

Congratulations to these amazing student-athletes for representing Miramonte with pride, and special shotout to all the wrestlers who competed this weekend. The Matador community looks forward to watching this team compete in their dual matches versus Acalanes and Mount Diablo this Thursday (1/22)!
