Women's Basketball moves to 8-1 in league play, wins road game at Campolindo High School

After falling to Acalanes High School at home on Wednesday night, Miramonte Women's Basketball gets back on track with a road victory vs. Campolindo High School on Friday, January 26th. The Cougars started strong offensively, ending the first quarter with a 1-point lead, 12-11. They kept the game neck and neck through the second quarter with Cougar Ali Mccauley '25 sinking a three at the buzzer to tie the game at halftime, 25-25.
After a pep talk and strategy session with Coach Vince Wirthman, the Mats came out firing in the 3rd quarter, scoring 19 points, ending the quarter 44-30. The Mats never looked back and powered through to a win with a final score of 52-39. Lead scorers of the evening were
Karena Eberts '24 with 29 points and
Robin Parmelee '25 with 11 points. Eberts tallied 14 rebounds and
Julia Quinn Ferguson '25 fought hard for 7 rebounds as well. The Mats moved to 14-9 overall with a DAL league record of 8-1.
