Miramonte High School Selected for the 2024 California Distinguished Schools Program

On Thursday, February 29, State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond announced that Miramonte High School has been honored with selection for the esteemed 2024 California Distinguished Schools Program. This recognition, which identifies exceptional schools across California, highlights Miramonte's continued commitment to academic excellence and student success. Congratulations to the entire Miramonte community for this remarkable achievement!

"It is my pleasure to honor and recognize these 293 secondary schools for their efforts to provide exemplary public education to all students. Excellent middle schools and high schools play a critical role in the life outcomes of our young people," Thurmond said. "This year's California Distinguished Schools celebration provides us with an opportunity to recognize the hard work of our secondary educators and school staff who help our young adults discover passions and access college- and career-ready experiences that will propel them through life."

Miramonte has over 700 students who have participated or are currently participating in high school athletics this school year. Their dedication to being excellent student-athletes on and off the field has helped lead Miramonte to this distinguished selection.
