Competitive Men's Basketball heads into the heart of league play winning six of last eight

Under first year Head Coach Mike Shaughnessy, Miramonte Men's Basketball has battled to an 8-6 overall record. With a tough strength of schedule to start the season, the Matadors, who got to work soon after Shaughnessy took over in late April, have embodied the word "compete". Despite challenging losses early on, the Matadors have shown their competitive spirit as a team, winning 6 of their last 8. The two losses over that stretch were both by 5 points or less, one being a overtime nail biting loss to Alhambra High School. Their strong efforts, as a young team with only three seniors, reflects a promising future as they continue to grow and develop throughout the season.
