In a remarkable achievement, the Miramonte High School softball team secured its first-ever North Coast Section (NCS) Division V championship on May 31, 2025, defeating Kennedy High School 2–1 in a closely contested final. This victory marks a significant milestone in the program's history, 

Following their NCS championship, the Miramonte Matadors advanced to the CIF Northern California Division V Softball Championship, and took on Oakland High School. The Matadors trailed early, but came from behind with 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th, to take a 7-4 lead. The Matadors closed it out in the 7th, winning 7-4, and moving unto the CIF NorCal Semi-Finals 

The Tuesday evening victory now puts the Matadors one win away from a NorCal Championhip game appearance. Standing in their way is the #1 seed, Biggs High School, who has gone 27-3-1 on the season.
