- 2007 Matched his scoring stats (1 goal, 2 assists, 7 points) of the 2006 season...earned Pac-10 all-academic honorable mention honors...selected in the 2008 MLS Super Draft in the second round by the New York Red Bulls in the third round, the 32nd selection overall; Sassano was New York's first pick of the draft.
- 2006: Playing as a defender after two years as a midfielder, had 19 game starts and recorded seven points, and one goal for the season...collected five assists.
- 2005: Started every game for the Bears in a breakout sophomore season...earned All-Pac-10 honorable mention...assisted on the game-tying goal with 22 seconds left in regulation in Cal's 3-2 double-overtime victory against Wake Forest in the sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament (11/26)...assisted on the game-winning goal against San Diego State in Cal's 2-1 overtime victory (11/4)...recorded two goals for the season...finished the season first on the team in assists with eight and tied for second in the conference in that category. 2004: Saw action in six games...recorded one assist and one point.
