Research and STEM Activities

Conducted research with UCSD post-doc on the topics of DSP and AI, in which he successfully took an audio file and reduced it to the minimum single-cycle waveforms to create a wavetable; this inspired him to continue studying computer science and learn more about deep learning... Interned at Groove Synthesis (Synthesizer company), where he created a pitch detection algorithm; this combined his love of music with computer science and inspired him to learn more about DSP.

Personal

Chose Cal Tech because of the academic experience -- specifically the emphasis on engineering as well as the rigorous classes... Additionally was drawn to Cal Tech's research opportunities as undergraduate students are given many opportunities to conduct research... In free time, likes to play guitar.
