FLOYD BURNSED (1982-2002)
Floyd Burnsed was a teacher and coach at Miramonte from 1982 to 2002. As a football coach, he had an overall record of 154-62-2. His teams were league champions ten times and won 4 North Coast Section titles. Over his career at Miramonte, he was named Contra Costa County Coach of the Year 3 times. He was also Champion Coach of the Year in 1983, SF 49ers High School Coach of the Year in 1996 and NCS Coach of the Year in 2000. After Miramonte, Floyd coached at Solano Junior College where he was named California Community College Football Coaches Association Coach of the Year in 2010. In 2016, he took the job as Head Coach at Acalanes and has breathed new life into the program.
