VALERIE HENDERSON, '04
Valerie Henderson played four years on the Miramonte Women's Soccer Team and was the Diablo Foothill Athletic League Defensive MVP in 2003. She was also a first-team all-league selection in both softball and track & field (pole vault). Henderson was the starting goalkeeper for the UCLA Women's Soccer Team (2004-2007). She subsequently played professional soccer for the Pali Blues, Los Angeles Sol, Philadelphia Independence, KIF Örebro, and Atlanta Beat. Henderson trained with the United States U-23, U-21, U-19 and U-17 Women's National Soccer Teams. In 2013, Henderson was chosen in the third round (31st overall) of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL)’s supplemental draft to play for the Western New York Flash in the inaugural NWSL season.
