Miramonte High School

JAMES STOCKHOLM (1980-2012)
James Stockholm supported the Miramonte athletic program for many years after his own children had graduated and he had retired from a successful career as a food broker in the early 1980s. He was the founder and first president of the Miramonte Athletic Boosters and planned and personally funded "Stockholm's Store," which is now a fixture on the Miramonte football field. Stockholm was the unofficial leader of the "Grandpas," a group of former Miramonte Dads who attended a plethora of Miramonte sporting events, both home and away over many years. Stockholm even drove carpools for some teams when needed. He was a welcome and beloved Miramonte sports fixture up until his passing in 2012.
