HEATHER PETRI, '96
Heather Petri swam and played water polo at Miramonte. She was a member of the National Junior Swim team in 1995. As a sophomore, she played on the Miramonte boys water polo team prior to the girls team being established in her junior year. She was captain of the girls team for 2 years, leading the team to back-to-back Foothill Athletic League titles in 1994 and 1995 and an NCS championship in 1995. Heather went on to play water polo at Cal where she earned All American honors in 1998 and 1999. She has medaled in all four Olympic games that she has competed in earning silver in the 2000 Sydney games, bronze in the 2004 Athens games, silver in the 2008 Beijing games and gold in the 2012 London games. Heather has also played water polo professionally in Italy, Greece and Brazil.
